Understanding Spiritual Vibrations Part IV

As we finish our discussion of Understanding Spiritual Vibrations, lets dive into the translation process.  Whether the messages are coming from the winds, the flames, a journey, an animal spirit, or from a guide, it always boils down in essence to what are your symbols and translations.  I have used this example before, you have a journey and the only thing that is perfectly clear to you is the color blue.  What does that mean?  Blue skies, blue waters, cold, or blue in your throat chakra?  Depending on what you perceive through your experiences will determine what the meaning is to you.  So the key is to learn your translations.  Not mine.  Not some books.  But yours.

So today we begin your own translation library so to speak.  I usually tell people to begin with a standard 3 x 5 index card.  The ones that have a blank side and lines on the other.  However, I will share that the more creative you are, the more intuition you allow to flow, the deeper the translations will be.  Starting with the index cards keeps it simple to start.  You will find that over the years as you use this tool, the symbol is what becomes important.  My personal translation tools are on a set of flat stones I have collected over the years.  There are no words anymore, simply the symbols.  Yet when I started the words were vital.  The reasoning is that the words helped me keep out ego and perception when I go to them to gain clarity.

So the blank side will be a picture or symbol of a thought; while the lined side will explain why the drawing on the blank side represents what it does.  A couple of examples, a tree may represented nature to begin and then goes deeper into the tree of life or perhaps the cycle of life from seed to tree to fruit to seed.  It may represent the changing of seasons.  Whatever your meaning is to YOU is what is correct for YOU.  A heart may represent love.  Physical well being or the heart of earth.

Let’s say that as you are drawing the symbol additional things come out that you don’t understand the meaning of.  Leave them.  The meaning will come.

Start with 30 or so aspects of life’s journey.  Always be sure to add the antonym of any aspect that you draw a symbol for.  Example, life-death, God-Goddess, chaos-balance, or transition-stagnation.

When I teach this, we start with 30.  Why 30?  A couple of reasons.  30 gives you 15 opposities – 10 is easy – 15 makes you think.  We only have a certain amount of time in a face to face class.  I give them about a minute a card.  Why only a minute?  The first symbol that comes to mind with a word is the truth.  It is when we try to make it perfect we become confused.

Can you use animals as your symbols?  Absolutely.  But remember, for whatever animal you use think of the trait and be sure to do the opposite trait.  Patience – Hyper (am sure you can see the two animals in your mind that those words represent).  Can you simply use sigils?  Yes if that is where you are lead.  My “card” version has sigils in the corners.  My stones do not.

The gift here is that you can not do it wrong.  As long as you see a picture, draw it so that you understand it – it is correct.  The only ‘wrong’ way to do it is to think about the symbols too much, distracting you and holding the creative side of you back.  The point of the cards are both to help you translate spiritual vibrations, understand deeper messages of journeys and spirit guides, and to help you see with clarity your path.  If you get symbols or pictures in a journey that you don’t understand the meaning of, put it on a card and leave it.  Don’t try to force the understanding.  It will come.   Remember this, symbols, pictures, originate from the right side of the brain.  The right side of the brain has no time, no speech and no logic.  It is simply art.  As a teacher use to tell me the right side of the brain is the whole, completed picture.  The left side of the brain is where the math, logic, time, and speech are.  That is where you will articulate what you see.  This process can give the absolute truth of who you are, how you see things, and what the spiritual vibrations are sharing with you.  There is no better source of truth than from your own source.

Part two:

Once the cards are done (at least the thirty), shuffle them.  Ask a question – personal or otherwise and draw a single card.  Do this every day for a week and see what plays out.  See how the symbol appears in your day or the word plays out.  Remember as you are doing this, you are learning a new spiritual dialect and translation of another language.  You will have some mistranslations.  You may have what you call mistakes in symbol and meaning.  Then again you may have new symbols and meanings come as a result – so was it mistranslation and mistake really?

You will often hear me say “do the pictures, girl”.  This was from my earliest teacher.  It was shared with me that first, you must be able to accept the truth about yourself.  Then as you practice, as you progress, you will need to agree to “do the pictures” … regardless of what those pictures are and where they may lead you.  You just do them.

Enjoy and may the winds whisper ...
