Re-Thinking How We Define Success

Part of what a movement does is to RE-think how we define ideals in order to begin the shift to a new paradigm. This is an excerpt of one such RE-think tank process.
A conversation to shift paradigms
The question: What is success?
As we look at definitions, it is easy to see the answer society begs us to believe in. A new movement is challenging women to re-think these definitions. So, again I ask the question what is success?
That is the conversation.
A gathering of women collaborated; co created, and envisioned a new definition. What you are about to read is statements of truth for individual women that it is my hope will begin the conversation within you of what is success.
A women comes to the conversation with a simple hope and leaves the conversation not only with inspiration but tools to build a real change in the world. That is success.
A new perception, a new way of looking at being an empowered woman who has a voice, talents, and gifts that make an impact, a change on the way all people of this world flow, communicate, respect, and work with one another.
Success is to offer support to anyone who needs the support to effectively impact a change.
Success is to celebrate those who step up and say YES! Yes to doing their piece, whatever that piece is, even if it is honoring those who remain in the shadow to absorb and await their own moment of truth. Not pushing any, simply allowing all.
Success is to create a golden thread in the tapestry of this lifetime for those who have yet to come so that they can see what we have woven.
To feed that fire that burns deep within me and wants to roar. To allow it to blaze and sparkle brightly, no longer only smoldering.
Success is to have a new perspective, a new place to stand, to have a new strength, and a new bliss in every experience.
Success is to share and gift others with a new personal insight and new personal strength so that they can shine.
To feel more connected to spirit, have more courage, and drive to use my voice to communicate. Success is to feel a part of a supportive community of loving, conscious, life-affirming women to support one another’s journey so that everyone knows and believes they matter and they can and do make a difference in the world.
Success is having a connection within that allows one to have their OWN power.
Success is feeling honored and heard.
That the individual we call “Me” is now a unified “We”.
To touch one soul that creates the ripple that touches the world.
Success is shaking souls, tears being borne, laughter experienced, and a bond created with the entire Universe that takes root deep in the shaken soul.
Success is that each person knows themselves, knows their abilities, knows their strengths so that they are powerfully recognizable to the world.
Stemming from a seed of loving, supported connection IS the success.
So now I ask, will you join the conversation? Will you share your voice?
The vision of success we began with was to share in strength, wisdom, and authenticity to create a new world. To get there, we have to have the conversations to rethink the way we are doing things in the world. That is what the grass root movement is doing – creating the conversation so that your voice is heard and honored so that we can all begin to rethink.
